Apparently,
Mars will not kill you. Good to know. Everyone should remember to go out and look at it tomorrow though - it will be the closest that it's been in 59,000+ years.
Anyway, for anyone who cares, I'm now working at the gift shop at the museum. I happened to email them about how my summer went (since they always yell at me for not emailing them whenever I visit) and the next day, Norm called me out of the blue and asked if I wanted to work in the gift shop. It has been a really stressful experience so far but I think it's going ok. My boss seems nice enough and I can do the work although trying to do it while people are waiting for you is rather nerve-wracking, and will be until I get the process down faster. Can I just mention that I've never worked retail or touched a cash register before? Yes.
Anyway... is it sad that I am excited about learning to fold clothing retail-style? Probably.
So, that's my life.
Speaking of my life, Bryon is still in Germany, but he called me yesterday. Gotta love a boyfriend who, when you tell him to come home sooner, offers to store up his farts for a few days and let them all out at once, thereby speeding he Earth's rotation temporarily and shaving a few seconds off of the day. -_-;; It cracked me up, really. He's been really sweet to me on the phone, always making sure to tell me he misses me before we hang up and asking about stuff that was in my letter (thereby proving that he's read it ^_^). That's the third phone call since he left 9 days ago. I feel a teensy bit bad because he hasn't called his parents at all yet; maybe I can convince him to give them a call.. I know they'd really appreciate it.
Wow, I guess I missed writing in here or something because now I'm spouting out just everything. So, there's the update.
