"What are you doing?"

Eh!? What is he doing here!? Aiba immediately questioned as he heard a familiar voice he always heard from the distance.

"Is something interesting going on inside?" Sho took a peek on the window where Aiba was just looking through to look at what was happening between Nino and Ohno in the classroom.

Why is he here!? Aiba still didn't understand, he was lost.

"W-what are you doing here?" Aiba questioned Sho, who was carefully listening and hearing what was happening in the room.

"Oh, I was going to the science lab," Sho added a smile that seemed too bright for Aiba to bear.

"But- isn't the science lab in the other building?"

Sho thought about it for a while and answered, "I guess I got lost then," and added a small laugh.

Lost? But he had been in this school already since the beginning of the school year, is that even possible? Aiba still asked many questions inside his head, but since it had happened to him once, he believed the other words. After all, even if you're the smartest student, getting lost in a big school is not impossible.

While Aiba was still lost in his thoughts, Sho went again to take a look inside the room. Two students seemed to be discussing something serious, or more like arguing, some shoving and hugs involved. The first moment Sho saw that Ohno was one of those two students, that's when he understood what he meant when he told him that he already had someone he liked.

"Why are they arguing?"

"..." Aiba didn't answer, even if it was Sho, his one-sided crush, he wouldn't tell him about Nino's problems.

"It's a lover's fight, right?" Sho guessed, though it wouldn't take much time to guess judging from what could be heard and seen.

"I guess you could call it that," Aiba was still uncomfortable with talking to Sho, so all the time he talked, or responded to Sho, he would keep his head low, hiding the pink blush that was easily formed in his cheeks.

Sho leaned towards Aiba's face, who was still looking down, making him look at him, just a few inches away from their faces touching each other and asked, "You're avoiding me?"

"Not really," he said, yet not that he wanted too, he still couldn't look at Sho in the eye, and with him being this close made his heart start beating faster like he had just ran 5 miles non-stop.

"Then you don't like me?" The question took Aiba by surprise, like? how can I not like him!? he screamed in his head.

"That's not it!" he raised his head, looking straight at Sho who had moved a few inches back, not as close as he was, but still close enough to make Aiba nervous.

"Then, why?" Sho kept asking questions Aiba didn't want to answer and as he kept being persistent, Aiba kept quiet, so he continued, explaining his reason for starting a conversation with him, "I thought I'd talk to you since you seemed to have an interest in me..."

Aiba's eyes widened, even though Nino had told him Sho had noticed, he still refused to acknowledge it. But as always, Nino's sharp eyes never missed anything and this, of course, was no exception whatsoever. He blushed, harder this time and looked down and asked, "You noticed?"

"Yes." was Sho's firm reply, still looking straight at Aiba, which just made him more nervous.

"When?" was all Aiba could manage to ask, he was much too curious.

"A long time ago..." Sho looked away, as if remembering the first time he noticed Aiba had interest in him.

They were quiet for a couple of seconds, Aiba's eyes turned determined and both his hands turned into fist, using probably all his force and leaving red marks in his palms from the tight grip and shut his eyes close and said in a loud voice, "I like you!"

Sho didn't seemed the slightest shocked, as if he was used to love confessions, but he knew he wasn't used to them and much less coming from a boy. His only reply was "I know," and patted Aiba's head, making the younger flinch and open his eyes.

The other said nothing, still lost at what just happened.

Breaking the silence, Sho started, "I'll wait for you in the school cafeteria at 4:30pm, it's up to you to choose to go or not," and with that he walked away.

The last sentence that Sho had said made him blink a couple of times, not knowing if this was a dream or reality. Everything seemed to have happened way too fast for his brain to process. Just yesterday Sho seemed like an impossible love, unreachable, who seemed to always hang out with the popular type of people, and he, Aiba, was sure he definitely wasn't the popular-type.

Again, he squatted down and leaned against the wall, recalling everything that had just happened, trying to know what he should do next. He said he wanted to talk to me... so... he couldn't had possible just came here to meet me? Aiba asked himself and laughed at his concreted attitude, knowing there was no way that could be true.

I know! I have to tell Nino! and after thinking so, he energetically stood up with a jump and looked inside the room.

There was no one.

Had they come out while I was dazing off? Aiba questioned himself, knowing that was also a possibility.

He looked inside for about a minute, there was no sight of them. Checking wouldn't hurt anyone, and opened the door, not caring to knock. He looked to the left and there was the sight of the two men he had just been looking for snuggling close to each other, and from Aiba's point of view, judging from their small uneven breathing, they had just broken from a kiss.

Aiba smiled widely, knowing Nino was in bliss before they were interrupted.

Ignoring Nino's annoyed face and Ohno's shocked one, he walked towards them and pulled Nino by arm and dragged him against the wall and placed both hands on his shoulder and started with full excitement, "Just now, guess who was here!?"

Ohno opened to say something, most likely to complain, but instead closed his mouth and let the friends talk for a while.

"Who?" Nino asked with curiosity.

Knowing that he had caught Nino's curiosity, he continued, still with the same excitement, "Sakurai Sho!"

Nino's eyes widened, taken by surprise, since what would the great Sakurai Sho be doing in this hall and asked, "What for?" and went to sit down in a desk. Aiba followed and sat in the desk besides him.

It wasn't long before he stood up again, looking shy and confident and said, "He told me to meet him in the school cafeteria!" and blushed a little, but still maintained his bright smile.

The other just nodded, smiled and gave him a little pat in the back. Even though everyone around them had the worse timing ever and made him annoyed, he could forget that and be glad that Aiba seemed a lot more happier. Seeing how just a simple invitation for lunch had made him this happy, he noticed that this crush has not like the others in the past, this one seemed more intense. Aiba was just too much into Sakurai Sho.

Not waiting for Nino's reply whatsoever, Aiba walked towards the door and said before exiting the door, "You can continue if you want," gave out a peace sign and left to waste some time wandering around the school for it was barely 4:02.

"Do you want to continue?" Ohno returned the same words Nino had told him two years ago.

He smiled and told him that he had to finish his test before the teacher returns, earning him a pout from Ohno. Not being able to resist his cute pout, Nino grabbed his test that he had placed in the teacher's desk and opened it, giving Ohno all the answers he was missing.

For he was used to copying, he got all the answers in less that 5 minutes and stood up, and placed his test on-top of Nino's that was already in the teacher's desk again. He leaned towards Nino and gave him a peck on the lips, making the other blush, for he was taken by surprise.

"Let's go," Ohno said and then offered his hand. Nino accepted the other's offer and took his hand and walked out of the classroom hand in hand.

Not did they know that as they were walking outside the building their teacher had seen them and said in a low voice, "Kids this days are so weird," and laughed a little. There was not a hint of surprise in her face, for it was not the first she had seen two boys holding hands, and doubted it would be the last. Secretly, she hoped they wouldn't encounter any problems along their road to happiness, and continued walking towards her classroom.

------

Did I come too early? Aiba glanced at his watch, it barely was 4:15. He entered the school cafeteria and saw the man he was supposed to meet in 15 more minutes sitting in a two person table against the wall with a book and his laptop opened, typing what Aiba predicted to be an essay.

Sho was absorbed in his laptop completely that he hadn't noticed that Aiba was standing in front of him, until he spoke. "Hi," was all he managed to say.

Sho looked up from his laptop and smiled, stood up and told Aiba to sit down while having a gentle smile placed in his face. The other, Aiba, sat down and as Sho sat down, he closed his laptop and said, "I'm sorry for not noticing you earlier, I was working on a paper."

Aiba played with his fingers below the table and said, "It's okay, Sakurai-senpai. I came too early either way."

"You can just call me Sho."

Aiba simply nodded, they were so awkward with each other.

Sho broke the ice, stood up and asked Aiba if he wanted something to drink, "Just juice is fine," he responded.

As soon as Sho was far enough, Aiba sighed, hating himself so much for not acting natural.

Sho came back almost immediately with two drinks in his hands and gave one to Aiba and sat down again, taking a sip of his drink.

"Sho..." Aiba started. Sho just waited for the other to continue, and asked, "Why the sudden invitation?"

"I want to know you better," the other said as if was normal to say such thing with such a calm tone of voice.

"Bu- " Aiba's words were interrupted by Nino who had just entered the cafeteria hand in hand with Ohno, his new boyfriend. Nino yelled, "Aiba!" and waved his hand, making everyone turn their heads towards him. It's probably his revenge for interrupting before, Aiba thought.

"Oh! It's Nino and Ohno, let's invite them over," and before Aiba could stand up to invite Nino to sit with them, Sho gently grabbed hold of his hand. "Don't" Sho said in a firm voice, different from the one he had been using before. So he likes Ohno after all, Aiba started depressing himself.

"I want to be alone with you for now," Aiba looked up slowly and found Sho staring at him. Aiba didn't say anything, so Sho continued, "You seem interesting and fun."

"Interesting...?" Am I his new play-thing or what?

"And seem like my type," his voice lowered as he said the last word, overtaken by embarrassment.

Aiba blushed and even more when Sho reached for his hands that were placed around his drink and started caressing them.

"What do you mean?" Aiba couldn't believe his ears.

"I'm saying that I may like you," he sighed, looked straight into Aiba's eyes and continued, "that I want to go out with you, I'm sure you have no objections, right?"

Aiba nodded once again.

"Call me Sho-chan," was all Sho said after Aiba agreed on dating him.

Aiba let out his first bright smile in front of Sho and said energetically, "Sho-chan."

Sho, on the other hand, seeing how cute this boy was couldn't help but smile himself too and pick up the menu, open it and use it to hide themselves from other people from knowing, though it was obvious, that they were kissing.

The older grabbed the collar of the younger's shirt and pulled him fast, resulting on their teeth clashing. They both laughed. It was both their fault, since Aiba was still smiling widely while Sho wanted to kiss him by surprise. Once they stopped giggling much, Sho placed his forehead against Aiba's and slowly leaned forward to kiss the younger boy.

Even though their kiss wasn't passionate or filled with lust, Sho broke the kiss since Aiba kept smiling and laughing in between it, not allowing Sho free access to his mouth.

He placed down the big menu now that they were apart, from the corner of his eye, Sho could see two pair of eyes staring at their table, knowing that those two were no other than Nino and Ohno.

After ignoring those stares, he understood how they probably felt when both Aiba and Sho were peeping in the classroom. Then, he asked the still smiling Aiba why he kept giggling and smiling, that if he had done something funny.

"It's not that, it's just that... that I'm happy," Aiba looked directly into Sho's eyes, eyes filled with tears of happiness.
