Casino Drive has been scratched from the Belmont, as I sort of had the nagging suspicion he would.  Stone bruise + mile and a half race = nothing good.  If Spectacular Bid couldn't do it after a safety pin injury, Casino Drive wasn't going to do it with a stone bruise.  At least, that's my reasoning.  Now I'll go cheer for Anak Nakal and ( Read more... )

Me too. You know, it's not really about the horse; I have no bad feelings about the horse, I don't want the bar shoe to throw him off or anything. (Oops, wrong horse.) But his trainer is such an ass. It occurred to me yesterday, at the gym, that I feel exactly the same way about Big Brown as I do about Champion.

A lot of both, I think. And that Cindy's there, taking any shred of what might have been okay about Champion and ripping it systematically into tiny, horrible shreds.
