(no subject)
What I like most about summer is the freedom I have. I go to work and then I relax in the afternoon and do what I want (I started exercising a bit to keep in shape) and then I go out and actually have a social life. I love being with people and meeting new people and being deprived of that at school kills me! I dont want summer to end!! Either that or I want to significantly decrease my workload! I cant do what I have been doing for the past three years. I want to have a good time. Im 22 dammit. Also, I run out of money so quick in school so I never go out for drinks (or good drinks at least) very often.
Marian has been back in town, they are having a service for Mike at the funural home tomorrow. I am going to the beach, which I havent felt like doing surprisingly. I just kind of wanted to stick around here and hang out, I dont feel like being so far away, but I know I will have a good time anyway, so its no big deal,.
I JUST found glass in my food, jesus! Good thing I got it out before it cut me.
Anyway, so my poster presentation went well. I was dissapointed in the event as a whole and people didnt like my poster seeing as though the title of it is as follows: "Inhibition of Pin-1 during neurotoxicity decreases phosphorylation of neurofilament-heavy chain in neurons" and that title is followed by 12 pages worth of small writing with some images. Who wants to approach that? I'll tell you - NO ONE. I was prepared for people to come up and have real conversations about the research but it was hot, crowded and hundreds of students were there too. It sucked, but Im glad its over because I feel accomplished.
Now I can celebrate for the rest of summer!
Im going to Sharon Jones on Thursday, Im very excited about that. Georgie James got rained out and that was very dissapointing. Especially since I was meeting up with people there and they all scattered away after the rain. But its ok because I went to Marx cafe and had some Chimay and chilled with the usual crowd.
Is it bad that I kept eating the food that I found the glass in? Im hungry. I ate it all and didnt find any more glass. The song "Glass House" by El Guapo is so awesome by the way. Too bad the rest of their CD sucks. I guess Im off to the beach now. I shall be back Sunday and I have Monday off so I am looking forward to doing something - dont know what, but something shall be done.
