I can't believe I slept through the hurricane!
oh my goodness. well folks, that is that. no more storm. We've "dodged the bullet" we're "out of the woods" and every other cliche the weatherpeople can think of to mean it's over.
I didn't even get to eat my peanut butter and ritz that was going to get me through the hard times. I am a little bummed out, really. We lost power for a grand total of 7 hours, through most of which i was asleep. It came back on about 9 am Saturday. Sadly, our cable is still out.
the main thing the storm has caused is boredom. All day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday everything was closed and we had to stay in doors. Finally today Amy and I went to the mall, which I was very surprised to see open.
I was so glad to talk to Amy, because she is one of my very few friends who is still in town. Everyone left! It is sad. School doesn't start up again until Wednesday. I am going to be pretty bored tomorrow with nothing to do. Oh well. I have a lot of government homework to do.
i guess that's all i have to say. I knitted a scarf during the boredom! yay for me! it is pretty and soft and i've taken to wearing it all the time.
okay now it is time to eat burned chicken (the result of dad using the grills downstairs even though the power is back on).
