Our hotel was crazy nice.
Our flight left at 5 AM. Can you tell?
Our balcony!
Christine and Brett were on the floor under us, so we scooped them up and headed over to Times Square.
It was my first time being in NY and not seeing Rent. :-(
All of us pointing at our favorite musicals. Cuz we're cool like that.
Jeff loooooooooves Moscow Cats.
We rode the humongous ferris wheel at Toys R Us in the M&M car.
It was pretty sweet...
except for the fact that it literally never ended.
That night, we went to see Lestat.
My friend Amy that I was in American Girl with was in the show, so she gave us a backstage tour.
The lead, Hugh Panaro (seen above) was ridiculously amazing.
Overall, we all liked it a lot.
The next day consisted of a lot of shopping and walking.
We went to this crazy Irish bar place for lunch.
The night before, Brett had an unfortunate shaving accident.
How awesome/crazy/hilarious is that????
We took a tour of NYU
And then met up with Drake Reporto and saw his dorm room and went inside CAP21.
We met up with Tommy to see Sweeney Todd that evening.
I'm officially obsessed. It was ridiculous. No words can describe how incredible the show was. The performances were beyond amazing and the show, overall, was flawless.
Because Ben is the hero of my world, he arranged for Jeff and I to go backstage.
We weren't allowed to take pictures except in this one specific area, but we got to go on the stage (amazing), see the director, and tour the whole backstage area. It was amazing.
Jeff and I with John Arbo!!! I don't know WHY he wasn't nominated for the Tony!
Us with Diana DiMarzio.
Us with Lauren Molina.
Patti LuPone!!!! Who I thought was just absolutely amazing.
MANOEL FELCIANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! He was so completely incredible. I was so impressed with his acting and singing and EVERYTHING. Plus, he's just the cutest ever. My bets are on him for best featured actor in a musical.
Michael Frickin Cerveris. So spectacular. And he told me he liked my coat. And he's gonna win best actor in a musical. And he was incredible.
Best Revival Tonys 2006, right here.
I would go back and see that a million more times if i could.
We ate at Sardis, which totally lived up to its hype, even if we didn't see anyone famous...although Julia Roberts was there at the same time we were...
We're kinda cool.
Us and Norbert Leo Butz! Kinda!
Good trip.
