Hello from Huntington
Thank you to keke_b for making the trip out to Western MA! It was wonderful to meet J. :) :)
Last night the Brewery let us all take our time and we had a nice relaxing dinner. singulargirl it was fantastic to see you as well! :)
After a horrible night's sleep I'm ready to start my day (the guest room that used to be my old childhood room has the most uncomfortable bed now).
My Mom's 60th Birthday party is today at my cousin's restaurant (Tavern on the Hill in Easthampton). Part of me wishes I got my Mom a party hat! My Mom got me a nice plaid wool jacket for my birthday and a very funky blouse. The jacket is 1 size too small but I'm keeping it because I love it. I told her I have not been a size small in 15 years.
Also had a great conversation (online) with an old friend that I have not seen since 1994. We really got into some baggage we've been holding onto for a long long time. I surprised myself by just opening the folder in my brain and telling them some stuff that I've held on to for more than a decade. Turns out we had exactly the same mess in our heads all these years. Talk about refreshing! I guess that's what growing up is all about.
