Just got out of a meeting at work. After a lot of hot air was thrown around the room, the bottom line is we're not getting our Christmas bonus this year. I was half expecting this, but it still irritates me. I wish they would cancel our Christmas party at the country club. It's nothing but the big-wig boy's club giving a lot of stupid toasts with their private jokes. I'm sure the liquor bill alone costs a pretty penny. Divide that up among us. Even cheaper - just let me have a half day off and skip the party. Hanging with my co-workers is not my idea of a good time anyway.
My sister bought a portrait package for me to get Shelby's Christmas pictures done. Of course, my child is so photogenic that I couldn't pick just one pose. I think they saw me coming and said "Sucker!" I ended up spending $47 more dollars than the original package. I didn't really have that money to spend, but my Christmas shopping is done and all of my bills are paid (well, the important ones anyway). All I have left to do is get a few frames to give my brothers and sisters copies of the pictures on Christmas Eve.
I have two tickets to Wicked to sell. I wish I had the money to give Patti so I could just keep them. My friend had an idea of a classified ad for me so that I would still be able to go:
