Quiet days
Howdy! So, I'm a little bit driving myself crazy lately, staying up way to late then sleeping past noon. Hmm... bad habit I don't wanna start! But, in general, things are GREAT. Been back in AK almost a month after a month in the Republic of Moldova. That was an awesome experience. Moldova is by Romania and Ukrane and the culture/people/land is beautiful. I'm so thankful I was able to go. Lots of growing took place; to write it out here does not do it justice. Made many friends and saw some flourishing Christians... was able to take part in sharing for the Kingdom. MAN, God is good and directed our steps the whole way. Saw God's heart going out to the world. We met probably 30 missionaries in the planes coming and going to Moldova. Also, got to spend some time in Austria, pretty great.
Life otherwise is also good... taking it on day at a time. Realize I need some daily direction/purpose. I'm very much in the mindset of moving, but the timing is not quite right. So, should get a job and make the most of being here. And, don't get me wrong, its not like I don't want to (make the most of time here)! Going to do some stuff with CRU in the mean time. Good to get plugged into a ministry until I head to Portland. Also doing stuff with church, shared a powerpoint of Moldova trip... little bit participation in VBS.
Doing ALOT of scrapbooking, well, three new books! I figure it'll be way easier to take scrapbooks to move than shoeboxes with pic. etc!
My friend is teaching me to play the drums, so much fun.
Household is in a very transitional phase, but it is starting to settled back to a norm. I have two great roomies and anticipating a 3rd, maybe a 4th... but one girl took off to Seattle for family business, so its still up in the air with them both. I'm learning to trust.
Basically, life right now is moving, changing... hard to sum up everything. Oh, I saw Misty Rumbo... that is, Misty Ray... the other day. She was visiting in AK with her new hubby. Nice to catch up. And Mindy, cool to hear from you! I know what you mean about figuring out what to write. So much has happened! They are slowly becoming memories rather than readily availible stories.
