With parents, siblings and... whatever the hell else was out there visiting his students this weekend, Guy supposed he should actually use that office of his for something more than storing his stuff.

If anyone wanted to talk 'sensitivity' he was their guy. As long as they didn't get offended by stupid crap, that is.

"Master Gardner?" Luke asked, poking his head into the office.

"Guy's fine." Master. What the hell?

"I'm Ben's father," Luke replied. "He gave me a copy of his schedule--you're teaching him how to be sensitive?"

If Luke sounded dubious, it was because he'd spent many months in a ship with Ben and was pretty sure he'd mastered how to be sensitive, and over-sensitive, and downright surly...

"As much as teenagers are capable," Guy replied with a sigh. "He's maybe the least annoying of the kids at least."

Luke chuckled. "What every father longs to hear."

"I could have said he was failing," Guy pointed out kindly. Could you see why he taught the subject?

"I wouldn't have believed you," Luke replied. "Ben's driven to succeed."

"Then you know your kid," Guy replied. "Puts you heads and shoulders above most parents."

"We spent the summer in rather close quarters together," Luke said with a little smile, "and I'm also able to read emotions."

"...that'll do it too." He was just lucky that Guy was used to this crap. "Try not to do too much of that here. All teenage angst and hormones."

"This is my fourth trip," Luke said. "One migraine was enough to teach me that I really didn't need to know that badly."
