last night thayer and i went to teatro zinzanni on his company's dime. it was FANTASTIC. a five course meal, 3 or 4 shmancy martinis, amazing "moulin rouge meets cirque du soleil" entertainment... and this was Shurgard's holiday party?! wow.
it was funny at one point - the party was also for the retirement of the company's founder and CEO. so he got up on the stage and gave the "key to the company" to the new guy and they reminisced about the early days of shurgard. i turned to thayer and said, "aw... rich white men, bonding, on a stage." and later, "it's like those football movies i love so much!"
it was so fun. and i got my face painted. hence, new userpic. rrrrrrow!
