Finally! They had found their one lead. The single most important information into finding Mother’s whereabouts. After they found big brother it had been easy. All they had to do was follow him and inevitably he would lead them to their prey. The remnants had found Rufus ShinRa--the man who stole Jenova.
Kadaj narrowed his eyes at the city below. “You know,” he began as he glanced over at his hostage, “all you have to do is tell me where you’re hiding her.” He turned to face him fully, palms slightly raised. “Then we’ll let you go.” A less than honest smirk curled the corners of his lips. But Kadaj didn’t like liars and, thus, he never lied. However, there were many perspectives on the term ‘letting go.’
“You can save. . . this,” he gestured dismissively to the city below. “You can save the sick and your own corrupt company. Just tell me where she is. It’s not hard!” Frustration was slowly building. He couldn’t hurt Rufus, at least not yet. If he were gone then they’d only end up making Mother and Sephiroth wait long--and neither were keen on patience. “Well?” He added, irritation in his tone. “You can’t wait forever or else you’ll die of the stigma too.”
