[You're drowning. You must be drowning because you're surrounded by water, falling deeper into this vast sea, or are you going up? Whether you look up or down the sight is the same, darkness spreading while wrapped lovingly in the water's embrace. Is this how are you going to end? Drowning in an unknown sea, for an unknown reason? But that's ( Read more... )

It's beautiful... [ Breathed out, cupping her hands gingerly around a crystal with a soft white glow. She doesn't completely understand what she holds, but she senses something in it: life. ]

They're all good. They're wonderful.

[Life is always there, even in the fragments that show nothing but death, because in order to die, in order to kill something, there had to first be life on it. He doesn't mind the presence at all, he doesn't own the sea, he doesn't care if those two witches come to see what he's doing, even though he doubts they will. The words, however, are something he can't ignore. They cause him break into bitter laugher.]

Some of them are, some of them aren't. Most of them will never be.

[ She turns slowly to look at him, canting her head. ]

...What are they? Possibilities?

Worlds.

[It's the most simple and real answer after all.]

Each unique and different even for the human eye they may seem the same. Some worlds are drastically different from the rest, others are so similar that it's almost like watching the same story from a different perspective. But they are still worlds, plain and simple worlds.

I think any world can be a good world. [ Though she gently releases the crystal she's holding, not wanting to obstruct any path it may take. ] Are you expecting something from them?

Even worlds full of death and tragedy?

[The idea that any world can be a good world is naive, they could be good, any of them, but once a certain point is reached that may become impossible.]

Not expecting. Searching, rather, for a new born world with a blank canvas. Those who are already filled aren't what I want.

They had life before. [ And there was always hope--even if that seemed naive. ]

Mm... I see. Something that can be made into what you want. Is that it?

That only means they were good before, if a world having life is just enough for you to consider it good, that is.

[Downright naive... And cruel in a way, more than whatever he could say but he's not really surprised by it, neither he thinks she realizes that herself.]

In a way, yes. A new born world without anything on it would be the perfect scenario to defeat and crush the witches I'm hunting without destroying anything more. It would sacrifice a new born world but one world in exchange of the infinite ones that rest here isn't a bad sacrifice.

Why is it bad for dying? ...Witches? [ She looks around herself cautiously, as though they might appear. This is a strange dream so far... ]

[He eyes her.]

I would assume that "dying" doesn't have the same meaning for each of us.

[The word doesn't really have the same meaning for him ever sin ce he became a wizard after all and saw further beyond what human eyes can see. He chuckles, amused, as she looks around herself.]

They aren't here now. They are probably too busy preparing themselves for their new game of tragedy and torture.
