“I’m looking for someone.” The reply was nearly automatic. He had said it enough times. Kadaj strongly emphasized his next words. “Someone very important.” Indeed, nothing could ever be more important than finding Mother. But he was frustrated. He couldn’t have lost so easily. How did Sephiroth lose so easily? Everything was a mess and it was all his fault. The Reunion was for Mother to bring him back, but he failed her.
Now, it was Kadaj’s turn, and if Mother wanted him to be the star, then he would be the brightest one for Her sake! “You see,” he began, “ShinRa took something. Something that doesn’t belong to them and it’s my job to get it back.” The remnant had no qualms about sharing his mission. It certainly wasn’t a secret and he was never quiet about it. “If you’re going to stay at least make yourself useful.” He didn’t bother gracing him with another look. The scowl still scarred his features. “But just remember, I don’t need your help.”
