001. grain of sand

[ The first thing you hear is the ocean.  There is a slight fog.  Bobby remembers going outside, but he doesn't remember how long he's been on the beach.  And he begins to realize this might be a dream.  He is laying on the sand and sits up.  He wonders if this is going to turn into a nightmare or not.]

Uh, yeah. Sure is. So, I'm just supposed to be thinking here?

[Bobby looks out over the water before turning back.]

I come out here when I can't sleep. Something about how big it seems.

I guess so. It's just harder to sleep nowadays. But this doesn't usually happen.

Yeah, it's pretty nice. You come out to the beach a lot?

[shrugs] If I'm dreaming then I'm sleeping right? The sheep I were counting worked.

A lot of people do love long walks on the beach. Be nicer if there were some sun. And some girls.

Well you might be mind-controlling me but nothing kinky yet. And I don't see the complex anywhere close by.

[brushes it off] Don't worry about it kid. Maybe you'll find out some day. But you should figure out if you can control minds. That'd be good to know.

[Bobby tries to focus and while the fog doesn't completely fade away, the weather is clearer.]
