[Princess Mercury is heedless of the skirt of her formal gown as she hurries towards the apparently-unconscious girl. She kneels right on the rocky ground nearby, ignoring the press of the stone against her legs. She reaches out two fingers towards Seth's neck, to check for her pulse and then to confirm whether she's breathing.

If not... what can she do out here, so far from any help? She'll have to try to resuscitate the girl, obviously... even secrecy comes to second to that. She makes a serious face as she schools herself to focus.]

[She shifts her gaze to her company and appears amused at the very least. Seth places a hand over hers, shaking her head as she does so.]

I'm fine. Don't worry.

[Princess Mercury sinks back onto her knees in relief. She manages a somewhat shaky smile.]

Thank goodness. How do you feel? Do you need something?

[daha_az_tanrica]

No. I assure you, I'm fine.

[Which was perhaps still a first for her. It took centuries, it took death itself taking her away from the world but she was actually fine. Death aside.]

[Some sort of juice, or even water... But there's nothing like that here, and Mercury is forced to accept that. She nods, eyes still riveted to Seth.]

You lay so still. I didn't even notice signs of life, at first.

I figured. Don't worry about it. These things happen.

[They do? Mercury shoots Seth a quick, quizzical look, but drops the subject with so little encouragement.]

I see.

This may sound very strange, but, where is this? I've come a far way out of my way, it seems like.

[daha_az_tanrica]

This is Earth. You're in the Tzara Methuselah Empire.

[Or at least that's where she always envisioned herself to be. Death was a fickle thing and Seth was just a fickle. There was the distinct chance they were just nowhere important too.]

Thank you. [Oh, no. They aren't meant to be on Earth, and come to think of it, has she heard of that territory? Yet she has studied Earth's politics - of course - and thus, she should have.]

I must return as soon as I can.

Then you are free to leave. I'm not holding you here. [And she wouldn't do that either way. People had things to do. Places to be.]

[Mercury shakes her head, and tries for a smile; it falls a little flat, but well-meant nonetheless.]

There was no possibility of leaving you here alone.

And, even if I would wish to, I have no way to return right now. Shall we go together awhile?

[She tilts her head. She isn't sure why the other couldn't leave. Principle of the matter perhaps.]

I can only go so far but I'll stick with you for as long as I can.

[She has no idea precisely where she is, or any way to reach the Moon and the Moon Castle from here.]

[On that note she turns and heads into the trees. She had no doubt in the ability to guide her to a way home. She was never good at finding her home but others was much easier.]

[Mercury follows obediently, alert to her surroundings - she never feels wholly safe on Earth - but willing to trust her guide for the moment.]

I don't have anything else to do. Helping is the least I can do.

[She doesn't slow down. Keeps at a slightly faster pace due to nature. Of course there's no real place to lead her. She can play along until the other woman returns to her world. Whatever way that will be.]
