[ Of course, the spotlight shines on Ash, as several people in the crowd cheers for him. After all, he is a celebrity. His opponent today will be random person X! ]

Alright, Pikachu - let's give it our best shot...! [ and many moments later, the battle ends, 6 to 2, Ash winning. As he jumps in the air, he gives his Pikachu a high-five, somewhat, before going to exit the stage -- you might want to talk to him before he leaves. ]

[Ami's always attracted to success and triumph.]

That was pretty good!

[Somehow, she has managed to catch up without even seeming to put in effort to do so.]

Heh, thanks! [ and he does the shonen nose thing before continuing on ] If I lost to that guy, I would've lost my title as Champion too!

[ and besides, there are too many pretty girls watching out there for him to lose in public *A* ]

"Champion, huh?" She doesn't make more of a big deal over it than that, but she files it away.

"I've never seen animals like that before. I want to know more about them."

That's right! I'm Ash Ketchum, the Champion of the Orange Islands! [ pause. ] Wait, you don't know 'bout Pokémon? But how's that possible... they're everywhere!

Really. So, want to tell me about them?

Well, they're creatures with special attacks, dependin' on what type there are! And there's a whole bunch of 'em too!

[waterfell]

Show me how I can learn about them.

Alright! Pikachu, you ready? [ and pikachu gives a squeal, immediately jumping off of ash's shoulder. ] Pikachu's an electric-type, so he can use electric moves, like...

[ pause. ] Pikachu, use thunderbolt towards the sky! [ and the rodent does so, its cheeks turning red as electricity comes off them, heading upwards ]

He's obedient. [Ami remarks on this casually. But she notes the attack itself with appreciation.]

What about other ones?

Well... Fearow's a flyin' type, who can use moves like "Mirror Move", and then I got Bulbasaur, a grass type, and Squirtle's a water type! Butterfree's a bug type and... then, there's Charizard! He's a fire type.
