He's momentarily dazed, reaching out towards the wall and planting one hand against it. Solid, as is, he assumes, the man who seems to have been waiting there.]
The laws of physics are pretty clear on that sort of thing.
NOrmally I don't. [He looks around again, hoping to spy something, anything that might tell him where Kate might have gone off to.] I was running after someone. She came down this way and now she's not here.
I don't know what I think. {It's hard for him to keep the tension from his voice.] I know I chased her down this way and now she's gone. That's all. She should be here.
[But she's not and the longer he stands here talking, the more he relaizes that.]
[Neal stares at him like he's an idiot.] Yeah, of course she did. [He turns away, starting to walk off before pausing, turning back to look at him.] What are you doing here anyway? Or do you lurk in alleys as a hobby?
It might be able to happen in his world but definitely not Neal's. Flying is not a usually a valid escape route.]
And you didn't see anything? Not a girl, not...anything? [He knows hes kind of being one track minded but well...It's Kate. He gets like that when she's involved.]
I've tried running through walls. Usually doesn't work out.
