[ Without war to fuel his temper, Abel has mellowed considerably. Where he might have barged into the laboratory unceremoniously, before, he waits quietly in the doorway, now, until he sees her head drop to the counter and hears that strange, weary greeting. ]

[ If it will motivate her to knock off work for a while, he'll take her up on that offer, mind-numbing as it sounds. Pulling up a seat at the counter, Abel rolls back the long, white sleeves of his uniform and slides over a few of those forms. ]

They want to send up another group. However I intend to make sure they don't send anyone whose going to weigh us down. [Of course she'd reject them all but she needs to play nice and take a few.]

Aren't we nearly at capacity, as it is? We could use more supplies, or materials for construction more than another group of settlers to properly train.

I intend on making that a clear point. On the other hand, I imagine some people get tired of the squabbles that start on Earth.

I can't imagine there are any who don't. But sending them all to us isn't solving either of our problems.

Tell that to them, again. They seem to think sending everyone here is the answer to everything.

Just don't threaten anyone. As much as I'd like to hit them too that won't help.
