“Are you really suggesting that we eat this for proper dessert?”
“Why not~? It tastes good, cutie~”
“Please. My name is Duero.”
Minkah made a quiet, quick motion to scoop a spoonful of chocolate pudding into his mouth. He watched the other two with boredom evident in his eyes. What were they doing? The food in front of them was going to waste. How silly.
“This is from the local market,” said Simon, matter-of-factly.
“Yes, and it’s one of the best things I’ve eaten~”
“I would not try this back home.”
“Well, you’re in Countshire, sweetie~”
“Please call me Duero or Simon, Miss.”
Ravel let out a giggle and Minkah stood from his chair, putting down the spoon with a clink on the glass table.
“It’s gone. Now I want candy.”
“You should go buy the child some~”
What strange company to meet on campus, thought Simon. He thought to perhaps enlighten them with his ways the next time he saw them. He had been taking up cooking thanks to Rhea’s help, after all.
