it seems like, in the last few months, more and more of the people i talk to on a regular basis have left and are leaving myspace behind. was this bound to happen: we stop connecting with people IRL and start to rely on an online medium which then becomes obsolete and we become truly alone ( Read more... )

Incidentally, while the music is a totally amazing and important part of myspace, it's the total inability to play ANY MUSIC EVER on it that totally killed the site for me. I never talked to anyone on there anymore, and it just became a place to find new bands. But then, like over a year ago, the site stopped letting me listen to music regardless of whose computer I was on. So I've abandoned the site. I use facebook frequently, but I don't rely on it for anything important. It's mostly a place for me to freely be a dick and talk about random crap, which is what I'm all about.
