Uniformed Prison Guard Gunned Down At His Home
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― A California correctional officer in full uniform was shot and killed this morning in the driveway of his Sacramento home as he was leaving for work.
39-year-old Steve Lo was shot this morning at his home in South Sacramento. Sacramento police say they got a call of a shooting about 4:59am. When officers arrived, they found Lo lying near his garage. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Lo was worked for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for the past three years. He was assigned to the California Medical Facility in Vacaville. Lo leaves behind a wife, three sons and two daughters.
Police and corrections officials say they have no other details, including whether Lo was targeted because of his job. No suspects have been identified.

my note.... so the cdcr is not really doing anything for this guy or his family. shit they didnt even put the flags at half mass till later... ill add some money in the jar from the officers when i go through the gate... they dont have a place for any officer to change at any prison in the state. i have been with the dept for 17 months now and this is the third attack i have heard on officers either getting off or going to work or being recognized outside of prison. hmmmmmm!!
