[ Ariadne has not been having the best past few days. First she gets in a fight with George (which is entirely his fault, obviously), then she tries to hold up a casino that one of her housemates works at with a complete stranger, and now this. 'This', of course, is the mistletoe and all of the ugly side-effects it's causing

[Somehow Jack has remained thus far unaware of today's curse, though he has noticed quite a bit of macking going on around him. No, he's still a bit preoccupied by the heist fiasco from the other day, praying to god he won't have to face any of those three ever again-

But of course, as luck would have it, he runs right into the girl who got him into the whole mess in the first place.]

Oh, god- [He backs up instinctively, hands automatically spread out.] Sorry- I'm sorry. Jesus, I'm sorry for all of that. I'm not usually like that, I swear.

[ Ariadne takes a step back as well, more because Jack is a good foot taller than she is and she's seen bees crawling out of his arm than anything else. ]

Oh, god, no-- I'm the one who should be apologizing, I'm not usually like that either and I just... It was an awful curse and I am so sorry.

No, really, I...

[Unfortunately for both of them, Jack doesn't get much further than that before the curse finally takes hold of him, and he takes a step forward to bend down and kiss her right on the lips.

Whoops.]

[ Well, at least there are no bees. The curse is helping them along, having Ariadne wrap her arms around his neck instead of pulling away or pushing him back. ]

[Hey now, he's a classier gent than the sort who mix plasmids with intimacy. The height difference is a bit much for him, though, so hopefully Ariadne won't mind him carefully putting his arms around her to pick her up.]

[ Thank god, because that would freak her out pretty damn fast, curse or otherwise. As for being picked up, well, it's not the first time today -- and it makes it easier for her to run a hand through his hair. ]

[Oh, that. That feels nice. Jack would do the same in kind, but he's too worried about loosening his hold on her for that, and what kind of a gentleman would he be if he ended up dropping her? So he keeps on with the kiss just as before, cursed into perfect contentment.]

[ Mmm, it really is very nice. He's tall and broad, surprisingly gentle, and--

Whoa okay pulling back now. ]

[It takes a moment longer for Jack to come back to his senses - and when he does, he promptly yelps and drops her.]

Oh- [He realizes just as quickly what he's done, fortunately, and immediately kneels to help her back up.] Christ, I'm sorry, I had no idea- I didn't mean to- Are you okay?

[ Being dropped is really not helping her crappy past few days get any better, and she shrieks, landing on the ground with a hard thud. ]

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry- [He's still trying to help her up, though he's being gentle about it. Nothing is going to go right for him here, is it?] I don't know what- Jesus, I'm sorry.

[ Holding onto him as she stands, wincing, Ariadne leans into him slightly. Ow, that hurt. ] It's okay, not your fault.

I didn't mean to drop you, either. [Though fortunately she doesn't seem to be taking it too badly.] Sorry... Are you all right?

Well, I really hoped you didn't. [ There's a pause. ] ... I think so. Hopefully I didn't bruise anything.

That's good... [But he's still concerned.] Ah... Sorry about all this, really.

Really, it's not your fault. Curses, you know? [ ... yeah, she figures he does know, after the other day. ]
