I know it's a dream, and not particularly practical... but I would love to live in at least 3 different places. Soon. Fundamentally, I'd like to spend as much time as possible in every place where I have good friends ... but there are two places that rise to the top of the list, in no particular order: #1. Ohio (anywhere in Ohio, really; I have so many friends there, and it's a small-ish state next to California so wherever I might go I could get to everywhere else in the state in less than 4 hours. It's also next-door to southern Michigan and to Indiana). #2. Chicago (lots of friends there, and it's a nice town too, except for the traffic which could take some getting used to). And of course once I was away from it, Southern California would be an excellent place to come back to periodically. Anyway, what I'm thinking is, I'd love to be able to have the flexibility of visiting different areas for periods of time. If money were no object, and I didn't have to be practical in the sense of having a "permanent" job, and "permanent" living arrangements, I think I would go live someplace, for between 2 months and a year, get to know the people there, get to know the culture and the tricks to living there, lend my particular talents, skills, and time to help out my friends in ways that I'm good at, and then after a while, I'd move on, to another place. And I'd always come back. Besides Ohio and Chicago, I'd also like to spend some time in Minneapolis, and in New England.
