Training the Rottie
Three books came into today from Amazon.com... one is for my brother, How To Live With A Rottweiler. It is very good and informative. I've gotten a third through it already. I'm teaching Hailey to lay and stay. She is doing well. We are almost done setting up the kennel run outback. It is a heavy duty 7 and a half by 13 feet fenced area, 6 feet tall with a tight black roof made of a cloth like material. A door swings in and out in the front of it. There is no way she can jump out of it. Only dig I guess. Her igloo is in it (dog house)... It is a nice set up and she'll be better off outside. Besides, it is next to the bushes where another dog comes up to. I guess they are friends. I think this roof keeps out most of the rain too. My parents went all out on this. I'm hoping when my bro leaves (with Hailey), I can convince them to get our own dog. Our cat, Toby, is great but needs some entertainment too. He is a weird grey tabby. Very cute and handsom lil thing, but like once or twice a day for about an hour... Toby gets very riled up and he acts like a "lil' shiz".
Other than the animals, my head cold isn't quite as ferocious today. I got more sleep last night. I have to work tonight though. I don't want to get anyone sick, so I'm going to have to wash my hands like every 5 minues. I'm hoping that tomorrow I will feel well enough to walk Hailey and do some needed things around the house... especially pulling the stuff I need to sell in the garage sale.
