The Eternal Waltz

By Metamia

...

Here we are again,
In this place of silence,
Where you and I have met,
For centuries, as it seems.

What is this pull that brings,
You and I together?
This inevitable feeling,
That I will never be free of you.

As you smile at me,
I wonder if I resemble you.
I wonder if I wear a mask,
Like the one you cherish so much.

The wind flows through me,
And brings your scent to my heart.
It can't help but remind me,
Of your lies, your deceit, and your false promises.

We come closer together,
And embrace like night does day.
I feel defiled, but still you hold me,
Wearing your mask.

The sun sets as the moon rises,
And we dance this eternal waltz.
The last of all ceremonies.
The last of all promises.

As we dance, I feel the pain again,
This cursed ache within my being.
I feel myself falling again, but this time I am determined,
This time, you will fall with me...

This will always be a reminder to those who dare to try their luck against my self. I am not pure, I am not just... that is just the half of me. And life shall always punish the deceiver and the trickster who plays intentionally or not with a heart that yields out of the deepest and purest love.

My curse over those who ever hurt me. And the plague upon those who will from now on.
