(no subject)
So I haven't been keeping up on here but I always say life goes on. School started last Tuesday so it's been a full week of spring semester. yay. I think I will do well this semester if I can get up on time and stay awake in Chemistry. My Art of Writing class is my favourite so far. I've already started my first nonfiction piece and it's going to be quite dynamic if I can get it on paper. My calculus class should go well too. My roommate Suzanne is taking it with me so I'll have a study buddy. We've had a few basketball games and the men play Wednesday vs. Charlotte @ 7:30. I'm still working at the bookstore as a temp cashier but I got hired yesterday for a work study position. I will be working 7:30-9:30 Tues and Thurs in the office, 12:30-3:30 in textbooks tues and thurs, and 10-2 in textbooks on saturdays. I should get about 14 hours a wekk and its not a ton of work so I'm still going to be able to balance school, work, and band. Speaking of band, I'm 9th chair flute in wind symphony. Second to last. Oh well. It's better than last. I just wish I was a better flautist and could audition well. The only bad thing that happened this week was my mom going psycho on me on Sunday. I hadn't been there 30 minutes and she jumped on me. Then she wouldn't talk to me the rest of the day. So when I left I was kinda emotional so when I saw Jess, Amber, Alex, and Chris after the game I just started to breakdown. It reminded me so much of the past 2 summers and I realized that my history was repeating itself. I just wish that none of it had happened. All the shit I had to put up with the summer before my senior year. I just can't deal with it anymore and I won't. Today was a good day. My classes went well, I started a non-fiction, and fiction piece and I got my workstudy paperwork done so I can start next week. I also enjoyed wind symphony today. I really like the sousa march we're playing and it was good sitting next to beth. We seem to get along fairly well. Then Suzanne, Donna, and I went to wal-mart, got stuck in traffic, but eventually got what we needed. When we returned to the door we picked up jess and andrew and the 5 of us went to DQ. It was really good. Their cheeseburgers are great. I had a blizzard too. The oreo kind. yum. And then I was a good girl and did some homework with Suzanne. So while it's still before midnight I'm going to get some sleep. Remember the game is tomorrow. UAB represent.
