Well, damn. The Warden is just making all kinds of friends, isn't he?

If anyone needs a place to stay, it's just me in Nyi Ennea. I've got room.

I'm sure he's got his reasons for the relocation.

For the sake of the people who just got kicked out, he better have really good reasons - and disclose them sooner than later. The Warden isn't exactly Mr. Popular here. This isn't helping his case any.

I'm not too thrilled myself, but I'm pretty sure he'll tell us soon.

Oh? Why's that?

I'm Ed, by the way.

I'm just annoyed at what he's doing, is all.

I'm Atem.

Hey, Atem.

Understandable. But actually, I meant why do you think he'll say anything, let alone soon?

Because he can't be undertaking a project like the one he has in mind without letting us know. I want to know that it's going to benefit us.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here.

If the Warden really wants to keep his motives secret, who's to stop him? He took over that apartment building pretty easy. The only person I know of who has stood up to him is Faye Valentine. And if someone does get him to talk, there's no guarantee he'll say anything of importance. It's not like he was all that forthcoming at his assembly. So judging from the past, if he wants to keep quiet, he can no matter how big the project is ( ... )

I guess he can, at that. He's a pretty quiet person, not to mention you can't get anything out of him without prying his mouth open with an iron bar.

It is, isn't it? We need to band together if we're to ever get out of here. I guess the majority don't realize it, though, because they have their own problems to worry about *shrugs* Still, banding together is the best idea I can think of.

*snickers* I'll make that iron bar if you wanna hold him down...

Their own problems, huh? That's stupid. You'd think potential annihilation by the Entropi would trump personal issues. Or maybe people just don't know what to do. I haven't seen much organization around here.

*grins*

I guess some people are more focused on personal issues. Not to mention that a lot of people have probably come from worlds where war doesn't even exist.

Mmm. Where war doesn't exist...That's be nice, wouldn't it. Are you from one of those worlds?

In a way, I guess I am.

Then I guess, in a way, you are fortunate to have a home world like that. More fortunate that many of the others here.

You seem to be an exception to what you said before about people from worlds without wars.

Well, for starters, I'm over 3000 years old. You wouldn't think it by looking at me!

Wow. That's gotta give you a lot of perspective on things.
