I've been making things! :D Today I rendered a sphere in 3D out of a lot of vertexes and triangles. I thought it would be like making a computer draw a circle, which only involves a few lines of code, but it was actually pretty complicated. But I figured it out. I ton of unrelated stuff happened today. I was writing a tl;dr post about it, but now it's after one in the morning, so I'll go to bed instead.

I'll just say that I think a banana broke my DS, and that you should always remember to norm your quaternions.

Yay, updating my journal in class. We're finally doing 3D graphics. I made a box zoom around like a racecar! The psychics coding was pretty hacky, but it wasn't part of the exercise so I don't care. And now I made two smaller boxes orbit around it quickly in the same orbit, so now it's a racecar that's also an inaccurate model of a helium atom! I ( Read more... )

Self, making a Sudoku program that keeps track of every possible number in every cell is not at all what you planned to do today. Kind of proud of myself for figuring out how to do it, though. And it makes games a lot less tedious, even though I guess it is cheating.
