I'm not living with my parents anymore! My sister and I moved out into a unit on the top floor of a block of flats. It's only two storeys, but there's no lift as far as I know, and it was hard getting all our stuff out there. My sister and I tried carrying up my king-sized mattress... Not a good idea. It was that or my sister's huge bookcase, though. My parents, my brother and my sister's friend helped a lot with carrying.
I neared anxiety induced meltdown a few times, so I didn't do as much as I wanted. But I did manage to put my bed together after my sister and her friend gave up on it. Quitters. I am the bolt-putting-in champion!
But we don't have Internet, and won't for a while. At least eleven days, and probably longer. I want ADSL because the other option is wireless, and wireless is dumb and a crappy guy. I'm using my mum's wireless connection at the moment, and it's really slow. And the download caps are ridiculous. The highest is 10GB!
But apparently, according to our landlord, the building doesn't have good enough wiring for ADSL. But maybe things have changed since the last tenants tried to get Internet? And the wiring can be fixed, I think. I really don't want wireless.
It's awesome, though. I'm not as scared of doing the wrong thing anymore, because my parents aren't doing everything for me whenever I stumble. I'm fine at doing things my way. And we have a pretty good TV with a GameCube and a XBox 360, so... video game time?
Also, don't try to wash down pills with a hot liquid such as coffee, especially when you also have a sore throat. This public service announcement authorised by the Things I Learned The Hard Way commission.
And now, I must shop. Neither of us can drive, so this should be interesting.
