I have class for half of Wednesday and all day Thursday and Friday. I was mostly free from the strong pangs of anxiety I normally get for all of class this week. It was amazing. I had a clear head with nothing stopping me from doing stuff for the first time since... I don't even remember, but I think it's been almost a decade. I can't even describe ( Read more... )

Can I transfer to your school?

I don't mind living in a cardboard box in Australia to do so. Really.

Anyway that's awesome, you got a lot done. It sounds very exciting indeed! And I feel I should point out the newest version of Dungeons and Dragons did away with most of the lawful and chaotic alignments for the most part, which is the stupidest idea they've ever had in my opinion. The new alignments are Lawful Good, Good, Neutral, Evil, and Chaotic Evil. I could understand simplifying it to just good, neutral, and evil... but why the hell would you have chaotic evil and lawful good still there? Augh... I digress. Sorry.

I'm not having quite as much luck (yet) with my medication as I had to stop taking it for several days due to food poisoning but it's great to hear yours is helping and keeps me optimistic.

Also I really really want to see Scott Pilgrim but theaters make me anxious so I can't go by myself and my friend that I was gonna go with kind of abandoned me so yeah. I might have to wait for video with that one unless my roommate finally caves in to my nagging.

OH OH and I'm helping a friend design a game, too! It's an 8-bit one and he didn't have a storyline for it so I helped decide it was about a miner named Joe who is trapped in a Martian diamond mine, and aliens have made zombies of all the other miners. He must gather Martian diamonds as quickly as he can (they are his ship fuel) and get out of the mines before the alien zombies get him. I'm working on the graphics a bit because I'm not great at programming but I love doing game graphics and critiquing things.

PS I super look forward to you being an astronomy nerd over the 20x6 rewrite if you get around to it because honestly that was 98% of the entire reason I was really excited to get them into space and wish I could've done more with it lol. You can tell because that sentence was really long and murdered its syntax.

Okay! Just make sure it's a cardboard box near Watson, the suburb the school is in. I live on the other side of the city, and I'm sick of having to take three buses. It's a college that teaches game industry related stuff. They have a programming course and an art course.

The new Dungeons and Dragons thing sounds stupid. I like the old alignment system. Mostly I really like figuring out what alignment my favourite characters fall into.

The medication took more than a month to start working properly. I hope yours works faster, Wikipedia says it does.

I hope you do find someone to go with to see Scott Pilgrim, it was a great movie.

That game sounds interesting. What's it being made with, do you know? The Supernova game will have wonderful, unique art, made by programmers unburdened by knowledge of perspective, proportion and aesthetics. Actually, I'm doing it. I'm getting better at drawing.

I'm debating whether to be a paleontology nerd as well, because I don't think there's anything interesting about redoing that part, setting-wise. Maybe it could be set in the Carboniferous period and the characters could run from giant bugs. I think the Paleozoic era is underrated.
