First of all, mostly forget what I said about Dave the Barbarian. They're still airing it, at 5:25pm on Fridays. So that's good, although I still don't get to see it as much as I'd like. But that's not important, although I've decided that I like the future guy...
Anyway, on Monday I missed the school bus by a few seconds. Annoying. And I cry when I'm angry or overwhelmed. Also annoying. Since I don't like to talk to people when I'm crying, I decided not to go to the front office to call someone. There was no one home at the time, anyway. I decided to walk home, thinking that I knew the way. After all, it only took ten minutes in the car, so how much longer could it take by foot? Silly me, though I do run home usually. So, I walked home in the direction that I believed to be correct. It was at first, but then I ended up going the wrong way and getting lost. In a suburb in the opposite direction to where I was headed. I only discovered this after walking for an hour, though. I did find a church kind of building before that, but it was right next to a sign that gave the suburb, and the wooden part had been stolen. Helpful. I eventually came to some shops, and asked a school kid to confirm that I was lost in a suburb that I'd never heard of. So I retraced my steps back to the suburb that my school was in. I asked a kid where my suburb was, but he didn't know. If I'd stopped to think about it, I would've realised that the sun was always in my eyes on the way out, so it was probably west of there. But it all turned out OK, since I found my school, then a convenient freeway to follow. Even so, I nearly missed the turnoff, and have you ever tried crossing a road near a roundabout? It took me an hour and a half to get home, and by now, my leg muscles hurt a lot, and my feet hurt more. I was very glad when I saw a petrol place that I recognised. I knew it was just another 15 minute walk from there. I'd missed the show I'd wanted to see. The problem was, it was on the Monday to Thursday slot, with Dave the Barbarian being on Friday. To be a bit clearer, I got home at six. I'd left at three, and my parents were a bit worried, since I always come home at three thirty. But it's OK now, and I enjoy a good walk, even though I haven't been able to walk properly since. In other news, I downloaded Earthbound on Tuesday last week, and have been playing it obsessively ever since. I'm up to Deep Darkness already.
