Character name: Honlon (Shuko, Kanan, and Junrei)
Fandom: Petshop of Horrors
Timeline: Post-series
Age: Literally: about 1 and a half, physically: 6~9ish (Note: Shuko is said to have been 'born' 60 years ago, as this was when Count D began nurturing her egg, but she hatched at the same time as her sisters)
~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: Motherfuckin' dragon, bitch Immortality and like...other dragon stuff. Breathing fire, supernatural strength and. Idek. See below.
How would they use their abilities?: Probably the only time it would come up is when they get in arguments with each other- it is said by D that a real fight between two of the heads is capable of leveling cities. This is shown at one point, when they begin quarralling and accidentally cause an earthquake across L.A. Kanan might get pissy and try to eat people once in a while, but Shuko will usually reign her in. Otherwise, they are never shown to have any other abilities. That is, they are stated to be quite powerful, but have no specific powers.
Appearance: In human form, Honlon looks like a young girl with long dark hair and gold eyes, dressed up in a fancy gown befitting a Chinese princess. She could pass for a normal human except for her odd, webbed "ears." As a dragon, Honlon has three heads and resembles a cross between traditional European and Asian style dragons, having a more compact, winged Western body and Eastern style heads. (AFTER MUCH, MUCH RE-READING of this terrible contradictory series, and consideration of various events within, I've determined that the animals in PSoH, at least the ones from D's shop, are capable of deciding how people see them. Honlon will, therefore, usually present herself in human form to make it easier on the people around her. USUALLY.)
Background/Personality: The dragon collectively known as Honlon began her life as an egg in the care of the mysterious and ageless Count D, pet shop owner and professional creeper. D spent 60 years nurturing the egg, preparing for its birth. All his careful plans were ruined, however, when a simple mix-up resulted in the dragon egg being switched with an ordinary turtle egg, and was now on its way to becoming the Christmas present of a young boy. With the help of his rival/stalker/mortal enemy/best friend, Officer Leon Orcot, D tracked down the man who purchased the egg and succeeded in switching them back. However, it's too late; a dragon is born when its owner wants, and the little boy who last held it wanted it to be born on Christmas morning. The egg cracks, and Honlon's birth is inevitable. D begins to freak out, explaining to Leon that the dragon could cause massive destruction if born within the city. Running out of time, D does some quick thinking and decides that the only safe solution is to take the egg to the beach and release it into the ocean. Thanks to an NFL worthy throw from Leon, they succeed and disaster is narrowly avoided and Christmas is saved!
A year later, Christmas Eve rolls around and we meet Honlon again, having been retrieved by the Count and now settled comfortably below his petshop in Chinatown. Leon's little brother, Christopher, wanders into her room and quickly befriends the lonely girl, completely unaware that she wasn't human. At first he is confused by her rapidly shifting and contradictory moods, until Shuko explains; the three heads are actually separate and distinct personalities, sharing a single body. As she puts it, "the simplest explanation is that we're triplets that were all born with the same body." This is pretty much accurate, since the three sisters couldn't be more different and would rather argue with each other constantly than work as a unit. As it turns out, sibling rivalry remains intact even when you share a body! Who knew?
Anyway, Chris tells the sisters that Count D wants him to leave the shop that day. He had been staying with Leon because of a traumatic experience that robbed him of his voice, and Leon in turn left him in the Count's care due to his busy job as a police officer. His parents had come to retrieve him, but he was reluctant to go with them and ran away, which led to him finding the dragon's room. Junrei and Kanan, two of the sisters, both want Chris to stay and be their friend, but Shuko, who is vastly more mature, understands that it would be better for Chris to be with humans like himself, not animals. This disagreement sparks a terrible fight between Kanan and Shuko, and the two heads nearly bring down the entire shop with their brawl. With Count D's instructions, Chris is able to stop the fight by forming a contract with Honlon, asserting himself as their owner. And once again, Christmas is saved. Chris is more than a bit confused by this, considering he was incapable of recognizing Honlon as a non-human, but neither of them let this interfere with the friendship that followed.
As far as personality goes...well, that's complicated. Count D explains that "that dragon is born from the imagination of the person who nurtured it." Indeed, each of Honlon's three heads was born from the personality of the last person who held their egg. Shuko, the oldest of the three, describes herself as "the responsible one." Having spent many years in the shell under the care of Count D, she has taken on much of his personality; enigmatic, patient, and vastly more mature than her young form would suggest. Like Count D, Shuko is rarely seen without a charming smile, and has a quiet, distant way of dealing with people. She is much more sincere than her father, however, unburdened by his history or hatred of humans, and is somewhat better at expressing her emotions than he is. Her kindness, compassion and friendship, as well, is easier to gain and vastly more geniune. She usually projects an aura of patience and gentleness that disarms people, but the one guaranteed way to drive her nuts is to force her to deal with Kanan. Like Count D and Leon, the two clash violently, almost always at odds with one another, and Kanan is the one person who can really piss Shuko off like no other.
Kanan is, simply put, the violent one. Taking after her father, the hot-headed and impulsive Leon, Kanan is full of energy and RAAAGE. Saying Kanan is usually riled up about something is like saying water is wet. She's an exaggeration of all Leon's worst traits- she's suspicious, pig-headed, stuck up, and just plain violent. When she's in a good mood, though, she can be much friendlier, and despite being fickle she's loyal to those she likes. But she's always impossibly loud. And violent, of course. Violence is always the answer.
Junrei was born after her egg was held by the little boy she was mistakenly given to. As such, she's very childish and rather simple. The first thing anyone would notice is that she's a huge crybaby. Before meeting Chris, Count D and her sisters were the only people she'd ever known, and she has a tendency to get very lonely. She's terribly shy, but affectionate and friendly, becoming quickly attached to people. However, she's also easily startled and frightened, and always starts crying over the smallest things. Junrei is often bullied by Kanan for being a crybaby, but even though she's something of a pushover Junrei is not above fighting back or throwing tantrums to get her way.
Basically, the girls are always fighting in one way or another, and it can get fairly rough. This is pretty ridiculous to watch, because anyone looking at her human form would only see one little girl pulling her own hair and yelling at herself. Hilarity!

Have you read up on how the game works?: I wouldn't be here if I hadn't gotten past this the first two times The guide plug-in is called the Flaming Ferret, and characters can earn money by doing missions, or mooching, or doing freelance work, or beating people up for their lunch money like Kanan will inevitably try.
1st person sample: [The furiously indignant female voice of a newcomer explodes onto the feed: might wanna cover your ears.] Don't panic? DON'T PANIC?!? So even their books dare to order me around, now, do they?! And after shuffling me about like a mere commoner! Ha! I won't stand for it! Insolent mortals why I oughta-
[The voice cuts itself off and there's silence for a very long moment before whoever it is continues- but even though it's unmistakably the same voice, her tone is vastly different then before. No longer harsh and angry, it was now light-hearted and polite, with a somewhat refined air to it. What an odd mood swing...] Not that I would ever panic over something like this, of course. Ahaha...ha. [A small cough.] I do believe it's recording.
[Quick and barely audible in the background, in the rougher tone from before:] Wait, it's wha-
[Curtly:] That being said. If someone could assist me, I would very much appreciate it. Despite how helpful the creatures at the front desk were, I still find myself with many questions. As easy as it is for me to believe humans have finally all blown themselves to smithereens...
[There's a sudden sniffle and the voice gains a whiny edge, as though the speaker was about to burst into tears at any moment. If it wasn't before, it's now obvious the voice belongs to a very young girl. But it's so at odds with her previous attitude, it's like she's a different person...] I-it just can't be true, can it? That would mean everybody...everybody is gone- but who cares about that?
[...]
I'm kidding, of course. [YOU DIDN'T SOUND LIKE YOU WERE KIDDING.] It is certainly concerning to think about. More pressing, however, is the fact that I seem to have become separated from my...father. If anyone has recently encountered a Chinese man by the name of Count...sniff, sniff... [There's that whimpery tone again.] ...C-C-Count D-Deee...
[There's a choked sob, followed immediately by an angry growl.] I SWEAR, I HAVE HAD IT UP TO HE-
Ahem! [There's a weird sound in the background, like something - or someone - being hit, before she continues. Tone is refined again, though her voice has gained a slightly strained edge. It's clear she's trying to maintain her composure...or something like that...] I sincerely apologize for such an emotional reaction. This situation is very unusual for me, you understand. Again, I wish to locate Count D as soon as possible if he is here. My thanks.
[DISCONNECTS VERY QUICKLY as the sound of a scuffle starts up.]
3rd person sample: The shop seemed very quiet after Chris left. The sudden absence of one mute little human boy shouldn't have made that much of a difference in the crowded pet shop, but somehow it did. Both Tetsu and Pon-chan spent a great deal more of their time sulking instead of running around causing a fuss now, and even the other animals had less reason to get riled up. It was as though the entire menagerie was preoccupied with the sudden absence of their guest. And of course, without their only visitor, the magnificent crystal chamber of Honlon was silent and cold once again.
Junrei still didn't understand why their friend had to leave. That much was obvious to both Shuko and Count D, who had to deal with her tantrums more and more frequently now. Junrei had never experienced loss before; she had never had to say goodbye. Watching the poor girl cry herself to sleep each night, it was times like these that Shuko wished she had her own body, her own small hands to hold Junrei's as Chris once had.
Kanan understood, but didn't care. At least, that was how she acted, snapping at her sister to stop bawling every time the subject came up. Their fights were no more or less violent than before, and any outsider would assume she'd already gotten bored and forgotten about the young boy. But when the Count came one day to tell them it was time to leave L.A., that the shop was moving somewhere Chris couldn't follow, the tears on their cheeks weren't entirely Junrei's.
Shuko didn't question Count D's decision. She had never done so before, and she understood his reasoning: they had been in one place for too long, it was getting dangerous, people were looking for them. These things were all true. But the contract she had formed with the young boy that Christmas day was also true, whether D liked it or not. None of the three heads could die. No matter how long it took, until the day Chris finally tracked them down, she would be patient. She would wait. Her true owner would find her.
Questions?: 1) Assuming this gets accepted, how should I tag her posts? Just "Honlon" would be confusing since she doesn't go by that name often. Maybe "Honlon (Junrei/Kanan/Shuko)" or something like that?
2) Do they have to fill out all the Vogon's paperwork three times? DDD8
