OK, LJ *did* look different yesterday and so did Twitter--both screwed up with bad formatting and absolute weirdness. But if no one else noticed, it must have been me. Or my awesome, ancient, ever-faithful laptop that tends to screw things up at the most inopportune times. Like my e-mail account.
Soooo, I am off for 3 whole days. Today was spent at Borders with
brian_ohio where we worked on our stuff side by side the way 3-year-olds play in a sandbox. Except nobody threw sand, or pooped, or ran crying to their mommy. While Eyeball Man worked on revisions, I "almost" completed my synopsis for Rinn's Book #2 (RB2). Though it kind of looks like the psychotic ramblings of somebody who's been chained to a basement wall for way too long (have I ever mentioned how much I hate the "S" word?) most of it makes sense, and all I need now is an ending.
Yeah, an ending. So while I wait for this perfectly awesome and perfectly believable and perfectly NOT-contrived ending to pop into my brain, I've started the actual story and finished one chapter. What this means is that I'm writing Something New for the first time in 4 years, not counting LMB which now has a permanent place in the black hole on my hard drive. Funny how I'm not that broken up about it, either.
I'm so excited to be doing this, I'm even happy about my current word count:
A whole 521 words!
Time for a celebratory milkshake, dontcha think?
