Today almost felt like fall today in SoCal. The sky clouded over and a short rain shower arrived in the afternoon, helping to bring a close to a slightly nippy day. (Of course, I am ignoring how sunny and warm it was this morning)
Drew took me to dinner and I got a pumpkin latte at Starbucks. (There is no really good independent place around our apartment that I know of.)
Yesterday, I realized just how much cheaper pears and apples are as they are in season. The kale and collards are beautiful. So yes, it is definitely fall. It's just hard to tell around here given that well-watered palm trees and English ivy don't exactly change color.
At work I get to see Domo-kun celebrating Halloween on about thirty different signs. (If you have not seen this, go to your neighborhood Target.)What's uncanny, is that behind the Halloween section there are already two aisles of Christmas gear going up. And here I am just getting used to the idea of savoring the fall!
I really need to get out of retail.
BTW Does anyone out there want to have a coffee buddy in southern California? (^_^) Reading partner? hmmmm?
