The plan last night was to go see Tilly and the Wall at the Mill.
The Mill was far too crowded and full of hipsters, so we left after the first act to kill time before Tilly and the following happened:
1. I got to experience Friday night on the ped mall. I didn't understand the whole going to bars/college mating ritual when I was in college, and I certainly don't understand it now.
2. Grilled cheese from a street vendor.
3. Sneaking up to the 10th floor of a hotel to get a view of the city.
4. 80s night at a gay bar where I almost accidentally became part of a drag show. The drag show was amazing; far better than anything that could have happened at the Mill.
We finally made it back to the Mill just before Tilly and the Wall, and they put on one of the best live shows I've ever seen. They have tap dancing as part of their percussion, and it doesn't work so well on a recording, but it was pretty amazing to see live.
Tonight is Mucca Pazza, a 28 piece circus punk marching band. Whatever that means.
