I've been watching a lot of the show Unwrapped lately, and it always amuses me when they do segments on people that collect things. Like the woman who was obsessed with hamburgers and even had a hamburger phone, or the couple who collects cookie jars but refuses to put cookies in them because cookies apparently damage cookie jars. It has inspired me to start collecting something random. My roommate suggested salt and pepper shakers, and I think that's a fairly good suggestion. They'd probably be pretty easy to find, and we don't have either salt or pepper in our house, so they'd serve no practical use. I almost feel like it should be something a bit more random, such as gravy boats or lemurs, that I would never have any use for or have absolutely no interest in. But unless I come up with something better, it'll be salt and pepper shaker, and then when you're on vacation at Mount Rushmore and you see those Washington and Lincoln salt and pepper shakers, you'll think "Hey, Erin collects these!" and then you will buy them for me.
