POINT IN TIME TAKEN FROM CANON On her solo trip to the Forgotten Capital.
BACKGROUND
Final Fantasy Wikia ; Story PERSONALITYAerith is, above all else, kind and thoughtful if not a little guarded. You would never know everything she has been through just by looking at her, and she isn't the type of person to burden another with her troubles. On most occasions, Aerith is described as someone who is always smiling and continues to do so even after the worst of times. She manages to leave lasting impressions on the people that she meets, and part of it may be due to her selfless nature. Aerith will take the time out of her day to help somebody, stranger or not, no matter what the problem is. The danger of sneaking into Don Corneo's mansion, rescuing a woman she doesn't know, all the while knowing the threat of either being chosen as a "bride" or handed off to the other men is treated like an everyday occurrence that she convinces Cloud to let her help him with, and she doesn't even bat an eyelash. Well, other than when she's distracting the boys outside of the Honeybee Inn, but even that is part of her quick thinking in order to help Cloud with his disguise.
It may be unfortunate for those that care about her considering the dangers involved, but at this point it's easy to see that when Aerith has made up her mind to do something, there is no stopping her. Despite her cheerful and sweet demeanor, Aerith is very good at negotiating, flirting, sweet-talking, and otherwise manipulating a situation into her favor. She uses what she knows to her advantage, and so long as it's for a greater good she has no qualms with putting herself in situations that might require her own rescue.
Aerith is patient and open minded, but fortunately not to the extent of trusting just anybody. She has met with enough people in her life, good and bad, to learn how to become a skilled and fair judge of character. It could be because she is an Ancient, but Aerith has always been very empathetic and often manages to tailor her actions and words to the people around her and their needs. However, that should not be mistaken as acting on what they want whether it be sympathy or to be ignored altogether. There are a few instances in which she can come off as selfish or even uncaring, but it is never done with the intention to hurt somebody. Her decision to brush off Barret's bad mood ( "Really? That's too bad. Let's go!" ) during their first visit to the Gold Saucer is indeed for his own good, and she assures Tifa of this much when she worries that Aerith might have been too harsh.
On the outside, there doesn't seem to be a lot that can actually frazzle or upset the flower girl. This is part of her earlier mentioned "guarded" trait, and while she treats everything with a lighthearted and almost carefree attitude, it is not uncommon for her to hide her pain and sadness from even those that are considered close to her. After learning about the Cetra and the Promised Land, Aerith admits to feeling alone in the world, but then shuts down at Cloud's attempts to comfort her. For being someone so open, she has a difficult time letting others in to her much more personal thoughts and feelings. Later on, she actually confesses that there are only a handful of people that really know her, including Tseng who is a Turk and is also supposed to be their enemy.
There aren't too many things that Aerith can't bounce back from, luckily. Her passion and determination drive her forward, and she follows her gut feeling more often than not. It's also because of this feeling that she leaves AVALANCHE, explaining that there is something only she can do as an Ancient to protect the Planet.
ABILITIES
Final Fantasy Wikia ; Equipment and StatsWEAPON
Princess GuardARMOR
Diamond BangleACCESSORY Earrings (Magic +10)
MATERIA Holy
LIMIT BREAKS
LEVEL ONE: Healing Wind, Seal Evil
LEVEL TWO: Breath of the Earth, Fury Brand
LEVEL THREE: Planet Protector, Pulse of Life
LEVEL FOUR: Great Gospel
OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF Nothing~ Aerith arrives in Somarium without materia and wearing armor that can only be obtained in Bone Village for specific reasons. To be true to the game, after she leaves the party the player gets to keep any armor/accessory/materia that had already been attached to Aerith's person. The only materia she has with her is Holy, and I gave her armor that you can only buy in Bone Village because she goes through that village to reach her current canon point. In all theory, she could have stopped to buy the Diamond Bangle for safety reasons. If I remember right, you can't buy materia in Bone Village, so she is going through with her weapon and her Limit Breaks alone. As for giving her the Earrings accessory... I don't have a good reason for that other than she could have easily just bought her own when they were in Rocket Town, and considering they add on to her Magic stats -- why not?
SAMPLE POST
FIRST PERSON❝IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY SUPER ABILITY, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?❞
There are a lot to choose from, but invisibility seems like it would be fun. Getting away would be easier, and if nothing else at least I would be a master at Hide and Seek.
❝YOU'RE ASKED TO TAKE SOMEONE OUT FOR A DATE. DO YOU AGREE? WHAT WOULD YOU DO?❞
Hm, I wouldn't mind just going someplace quiet where we could talk, especially if it's somebody that I don't know very well.
❝YOU ARE ON THE VERGE OF DEATH. YOU KNOW THERE IS NO WAY TO SURVIVE AND THERE'S NO COMING BACK. WHAT IS YOUR LAST REGRET?❞
I... would regret not spending more time with my friends and the people that I love. Even if I spent every day with them from now on, it doesn't feel like it would be enough.
❝WOULD YOU PREFER BEING THE STALKER, OR THE ONE BEING STALKED?❞
The stalker, though I probably wouldn't be very good at it. I guess I stand out too much to be able to get away with it so easily.
❝THERE IS A CAKE IN THE RAIN. WHAT DO YOU DO?❞
A cake? It seems it would be ruined by now, but I guess I could still bring it inside.
❝AM I ASKING TOO MANY STRANGE QUESTIONS?❞
Strange? But I think they're actually entertaining. It wouldn't be as interesting if we sat here going through answers we already know.
❝WILL YOU MAKE A CONTRACT WITH ME? /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\❞
Now, that one is strange...
THIRD PERSON"Come back!" Her cry drowned beneath the clap of thunder from above, not that the object escaping from her could hear or understand in the first place. Still, Aerith chased the brightly colored umbrella through the streets, a heavy rain pelting her from above and puddles splashing around her boots with each hurried step. Just when she thought she might catch it the wind picked up and dragged the umbrella further from her grasp, leading the flower girl into unfamiliar parts of town until finally rolling to a stop against a building. "Oh, stay there," she gasped, slowing as she approached what was now the torn and twisted remains of her favorite umbrella. She snatched up the handle before it could fly away again, a sigh passing between her lips as she looked over the damage.
"I guess... it's too late." Would it have even made a difference? From the thrilling chase alone Aerith was already soaked through to the bone, using an umbrella now would be pointless even if it wasn't broken. She brushed her hair away from her eyes, searching her new surroundings for someplace to take refuge at least until the rain passed. Nothing hospitable appeared to be nearby, but as she began to lose hope her attention fell onto the house that had ended her pursuit. It helped her once, there was no reason she couldn't trust it again, right? Fortunately, or maybe not so much, she could see its front door easily thrown open and slammed shut with each gust so it must have been abandoned. Maybe.
Struggling again to keep her hair back and her umbrella in hand, Aerith quickly made her way into the house and shut the door tightly. Somehow it managed to stick, but the walls groaned in protest and she could have sworn the floor just shifted. However, it was better than standing out in the rain and Aerith ventured into its dark halls fearlessly. After her search and concluding that the home was truly left bare, Aerith settled herself in what she assumed was once a living room. She set her drenched boots to the side and wrung out what she could of her dress, pausing only when the floorboards creaked and whined."I'm sorry. You've been trying to stay dry, too, haven't you?" She sat back against the wall, pressing her cheek to its surface and closing her eyes.
Thunder shook the foundation again, but Aerith didn't let it bother her. Instead, she waited the storm out in that room, speaking to the walls around her after its fussing until eventually sunlight peered in through the windows and promised the Ancient a dry return home.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO PLAY THIS CHARACTER IN SOMARIUM? It's been a while since I last got to play Aerith and I've been wanting to pick her up again recently. Somarium has a couple people I'm already familiar with, as well as a premise that I haven't been a part of yet so I thought it would be fun and interesting.
WHICH RULE WAS YOUR FAVORITE AND WHY? To be honest, I liked the first rule just for "Keep your own bad moods out and let your characters' bad moods in." It made me laugh~ Aside from that, and as far as actual rules go, the "limited fourth-wall breakage" rule is my favorite because I think it's just as bad as godmodding when I have to suddenly deal with how my character is going to handle being told they're fictional without any sort of warning about it even being brought up.
WHERE DID YOU HEAR ABOUT SOMARIUM? Mil brought it up to me before and reminded me of it again just recently. :3
ANY QUESTIONS? No, thank you!
