(no subject)
Last few days me and a mate have been working on putting a TV series, an entertainment style show together. The show is a redirection of an earlier idea that we had been work shopping for a month or so but finally something is happening!! Myself (director) and paul (producer) ran screen tests / presenter auditions on thursday night. I was expecting to have a few really bad and a few really good auditions, however all 10 auditions we did in our first group did reasonably good.
A number of the people who are interested in the project are quite experienced in TV acting/presenting (finally some people with a professional attitude). In our auditions we had a muso with a bit of a profile, a full time fashion model and an actor who has done time on a bunch of Aus dramas including neighbors, she has also recently finished a season in a show at the arts centre.
We have one interview for the show in the bag already, a number of people and events already lined up for later in the year. We have a fund raising even on the boil (will try to post later when more details are known) and a few ideas for sponsors etc. We might even have an interstate and oversea co-respondent which could be very cool.
Currently we are still looking for people interested in auditioning as hosts. The show is an entertainment show which will include artist interviews, movie/album reviews, event/festival clips and the like. For our music host we want someone who can interview and play/sing a piece with the weekly guest. If you are interested and wish to audition drop me a line.
Also if you know any acts (bands etc) that are good but maybe not so well know (up and coming, unsigned, indie etc.) or well know people who would be happy to be interviewed also drop me a line and we'll come out and see a gig and see if the group suits the show and then maybe do a segment.
