i'm so totally back!!!!!!!!!!

so! i made it back in one peice! everyone can relax now. i am safe.

just making a few observations from the third world: this is my vacation.

-off won't work, nets won't work, a plastic bubble may not even be enough. the mosquitoes will find you and they will eat you.

-nothing is more beautiful than jamaica. not your country, not your mother, not even gackt shirtless in the rain kissing me. and that's saying a lot.

-seeing people be so adamant about thanking the lord after their tin can shacks are demolished by a hurricane and their lives further pushed into the mire of poverty... is proof enough for me that God exists

-nearlly everyone there is eons more intellegent than the top phd here. their education system roxors. more power jamaica

-it's nice to experience a culture where you can be grossly overweight, dressed like a slob and hairy and cute guys will still flock to hit on you.

-on the above note.... it's creepy as all heck when guys you've never seen before not only look you over but comence to talk to you while grabing onto your tire floaty.

-3rd world is poor but not as poor as we like to think. there up and comming. alot of them are doing pretty well for themselves and drive nicer cars than most of america will ever own.

-everyone in jamaica watches our politics on our news..... i have never been so embarassed in my life.

-privacy is not an issue, it's not existant

- everything is bootlegged, and i have confirmed that guns and weed are indeed illegal.

-i can understand the language.... but speaking it... not so much.

-i am related to an entire parish of jamaica. we could start our own army. my grandma suggests we start before jeb bush is elected.

-my auntie is a tiny 4ft something little old woman who is the kindest most polite and proper person i've ever met, however she is fully willing and prepared to stab you with the knife she keeps on the dashboard of her antique plymouth and then run you over with it. she may even bust a cap. i have suspicions that she has a rifle or two on her.

in short, when you're in jamaica the highs are a million times higher, the lows are a thousand times lower but in the end if you adopt an open atmosphere and attitude... everything will turn out alright... or rather irie.

ps: to my darling edison, in am now dark bittersweet chocolate, not milk chocolate anymore.
