Your inmate tried to save Mark Hoffman by giving him blood. I believe he is experiencing some side effects from it.

This evening, my item alerted me that my inmate, Mark Hoffman was in peril. When I followed it to his location I discovered that there had been an accident and that another inmate had attempted to save his life through the use of blood. The effect was that Mark Hoffman has been given some vampiric abilities.
I have read that these do not last do to the nature of the Barge, but do to Mark's anger he is currently in zero until he calms down. I will, of course, be keeping him company down here for the time being.
