my major point about that is having three jobs is in no way uniquely american. and i could go on and on and on about the lacking social services in this country: i'm not talking welfare, i'm talking education, public health, etc. i dislike gw and his administration for several reasons, his (their collective) stance on gay marriage, yes, but abortion, stem cell research, prescription drugs, and nuclear proliferation (us not them) etc, being only a few. NOT to mention his relentless bible beating which proves to have a detrimental, not to mention annoying, influence on several policies. no i'm not waving a clinton flag, but i am waving a 'plant a bush--and all that came with him--back in texas' flag. not to mention social security, but, as per npr, and paraphrased horribly: a surplus of around 180-billion dollars per year, which we put into the social security trust fund is being diverted to pay for the defecit in other parts of government spending - somewhere to the tune of 200 BILLION dollars EACH YEAR. compound this with Condoleeza Rice's statement today that the president "always leaves possiblities on the table," when she was asked if the United States will go to war in iran. but it's ok because we're spreading democracy. except, iran is a democracy. but they're making nuclear weapons! so are we.
ANYHOW. the whole point was: 3 jobs, not uniquely american...
as for the wedding, yes i think that would be a super idea to do all three...it's going to take me a LONG time, i'll probably do it over spring break...i registered at sur la table but haven't made a list with them yet as i want to call and clarify if they do ship over seas (it says on their website, if you want to, then call customer service). at any rate...aaaaaaaah the domplications. but yes, i'm excited to. i haven't picked colours yet because amber and erin need to pick what colours they want to wear and that they are comfortable in and then we'll go from there. so as soon as they do that we can go full speed ahead. well, maybe mediocre speed.
