The monitor threw a hissy fit today. I rebooted and then it worked normally. I wonder if I'll be so lucky tomorrow.
On the plus side, there is a slight chance that a used laptop may become available to me if this one dies. At least then I wouldn't have to fork over the cash for a new one.
