For once, I must offer the city thanks for returning my inspiration. To watch your people cry out in suffering over the last few days and remain so inactive... and you say there's nothing we can do, that we're all at the mercy of the deities. I don't believe there is anything in this existence that is not worth killing for ( Read more... )

Kufufu~ Does one need a reason to kill?

Or is it a favour to this world to end it, I wonder.

One needs the illusion that they have a reason to kill... but I've never needed more of a reason than simple satisfaction.

You are correct on the second account, though.

Kufufu, those illusions are the easiest to craft.

I wonder how worthless your world is to produce such determination.

Foreigners took what was ours and polluted it with their unnecessary technology. The vision of glorious warriors went up in flames before my eyes.

Is it so wrong of me to return the favor?

Kufufu, and bring their vision of the future to similar ashes? It seems only appropriate.

There are always obstacles though, hm? Things which seek to cross your path.

People. Former comrades to be precise... a perpetual reminder that a man has no need for anyone but himself and his sword.

And what interest is my ambition to you?

A like ambition, I wonder.

Cliché, perhaps, but destruction rings so nicely in the tune of this age.

Does it, now? And what are your own motivations? A man driven by suffering with an insatiable creature roaring in the back of his mind... ?

Oya~? You make it sound as though a creature could control me, how interesting~

Does it need to be that complex, I wonder. Or could it be a mere interest, a decision to simply end a world that is worthless so that it can cease existing?

Does one truly need a reason to find want in the devastation?

Whether or not it's the same case for anyone, I can only speak for myself. My own desires, my own ambitions, my own goals are all born from my suffering. After watching the world take away the man I loved most, I could see no other solution than to tear it down in his name.

I don't expect everyone else to understand that kind of devotion... but even if you disagree, as long as our ends are still the same... will you walk alongside me in my path?

Kufufu, emotion is an interesting validation, but motivation is nothing to results, hm~?

You destroy it for lost love, and I for the impossiblity of it. The ends are still the same.

Kufufufu, our paths are similar enough to satisfy our fates. But what, I wonder, is the name of this one on my path?

Kufufu, is it~?

Or a satisfaction, to find another without limitations.

Both.
