[ Coughing. Unlike the ash-induced coughing, it's pretty wet sounding. ] It's not just Miss Euphy and Hanekoma-san... Why are so many people losing their memories...? There must be some sort of reason.
... I don't know if I can walk over to the hospital like this... I'm hoping one will respond and be willing to come visit. [ Cough, cough. ] I have a fever, too.
But it's not really a big deal. I've always been a little sickly, so I'm fine with a fever and cough.
It's really okay... [ And this is her trying not to cough. She senses that tension and so her instinct is to shy away. ]
W-what I meant was, since I'm used to being sick, I know how to handle it. I'll ask a doctor... you don't have to trouble yourself... [ Shy awaaaay. Angry people = NG. ]
... [ It's depressing that the more you think about not coughing, the more you suddenly need to. So, instead of another feeble protest-have some nasty coughing. ]
[At about four and a half minutes, he yanked open Fuuka's door (and struggled not to slam it.) No reason to scare her. He'd put a fragile semblance of calm on his face. After glancing around, he noticed her on that old couch of Aki's. Took a deep breath...]
[ That was fast. But then again, they were practically next door neighbors... Fuuka was lying on the couch, armrest as a pillow, legs drawn up, communicator resting against her knees-when Senpai yanked open the door (startling her, yes), she moved to a less casual position. ]
It's not like I can't walk... [ Just that she wasn't sure of her speed and monster-sensing abilities like this. Cough aside, her cheeks were flushed by fever and her skin was clammy, almost bluish in parts. Her movements were stiff from ache, and-although not visible-she was slightly queasy. ]
I feel a little weak. I can't fight, so... I didn't want to risk it.
[Shinjiro crossed his arms and stood there impatiently. Straight backed, not his usual relaxed, bad posture. He glanced her over with relief and concern. At least she wasn't bedridden, but her color didn't look good. Not that he was a doctor or anything.]
Get something to tie around your face. That ash is still falling out there, and you've got a cough.
[ She nodded and put her communicator aside-then picked it back up again (might as well bring it along), putting it in her school bag and slinging it over her shoulder. Her movements stiff. Her mask-a real one-was lying on the kitchen table, and she glanced over at Shinjiro, wanting to ask him if he had one. But she noted his posture and decided not to ask after all. ]
Okay... [ She raised her hand to her mouth as she was hit by another small coughing fit, flushing more with embarrassment as she spat whatever she had just coughed up-it was greenish-into a garbage can. It wasn't good to swallow that stuff, but the gesture was embarrassing. She gripped the strap of her bag tightly. ]
[While Fuuka got ready to go, Shinjiro dug a piece of cloth out of his pocket and tied it around his nose and mouth. It was already dust-battered from going back and forth between the bar and Horton. Combined with his beanie, this left him looking... suspiciously bandit like. Especially combined with his glowering expression.]
Tch... drink some of this. [After she got up from coughing, he handed her a flask.] I know it's green, but it's just... water. You can do that on the way.
[ She almost smiled, amused, at the fashion statement Shinjiro was making, and did smile at the flask, taking it in both hands, even if her eyes went a little wide at 'green.' Still, Senpai wouldn't poison her... right?
But it felt good going down, her throat raw as it was. She wondered abstractly if this was second- um, let's not think about that, actually. Fuuka followed Senpai dutifully, struggling a little to keep up-both because she was ill and because of the massive height and thus stride difference between the two. ]
[ She came close to running into him, hurrying a bit and slow to react as she currently was, stopping short and flushing just slightly more. ]
I'll keep an eye out for monsters... [ A metaphorical eye. Stick close to me, too, Senpai-the subtext of it. And she tried not to cough again in saying it. ] Even without calling Juno, I can sense them.

[There's a lot of tension in his voice... he's in a very bad mood at the moment.]
You shouldn't be fine with that shit in this place. I'll take you over there.

Just let me know if I'm walkin' too fast. And stick close... just in case anything shows up.
[Though monsters often avoided the main roads... who even knew with all this ash.]
