Queer Ojibwa Culture

We just got back from the last performance of Agokwe: Gay Love on the Rez at the Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, written and starring Waawaate Fobister. (Check out the link here: http://www.artsexy.ca/show.cfm?id=222) It's a humorous and very moving look at what it's like to be a gay teen on an Ojibwa reservation. If he ever decides to do a second run of it, I highly recommend going to see it - it was fabulous.

This just adds one more reason to the "Why I moved to Toronto" list. :D
