Yay September!

So, I've still been oscillating between somewhat well and fairly sick ... this displeases me GREATLY.  Enough already immune system, kick the frick in.

Moving on from that though, I realized that ... for me?  The yearly cycle I am more attuned to and feel is realistic to me is one that begins in the fall.  (Co-incidentally, Rosh Hashana - the Jewish new year - begins at sundown on the 12th.  This little gem pleases me greatly).  Autumn is my absolute favourite season, and its September now, that means in my world, its coming up to the fall, its coming up to the new year.  Fresh crisp air, fresh new things, just a feeling of comfort.  I've also especially started to hate August, for varied reasons, and I'm just happy that it is over. Poo-poo on August, really.

Labor day weekend has been very chill.  The MOST we did was traverse out to a farm stand in Centreville, VA to pick up a hanging plant and fresh tomatoes.  I made macaroni salad tonight (I make the BEST macaroni salad ever, by the way, it is NOT mayo based, and it is consumed like it is going out of style anytime I make it by both JK and Mike).

I have my Ralphina-ball-of-purr-and-fur-little-kitty curled up like a popple in my lap.  She's a great comfort, so loving and sweet.  I'm so glad we found her at the shelter last year.  She's just so perfect.
