Times are a changin'
One more day left and most of us have lived another year. I could had done without losing people though, it was all needless bullshit anyways.
I've felt more shelled up the past 6 months, and I can almost recognize it as a defensive mechanism.. but to what? I have zero reason to be standoff-ish or walled in. I try to do good things, I should have no shame or reason to keep it from anyone.
I'm done working here and have the next 4 days to myself before I go back (Sunday evening) which will be nice since I dive right back into everything the moment I touch the tarmac.
I went through my travel schedule today and its kinda insane. Seattle, Vegas, North Carolina, Tokyo, and Austin are all on the roster so far. Hawaii is a potential too. I don't count trips to Michigan traveling anymore, they are just something that happens.
For the record, this past year has been amazing sans my uncle getting killed and my degu dying.
Apparently my department has been incredibly busy back in The Dalles. I hope things calm down a little before I get back or I'm not going to have any time for homework at the station. From what I hear there have been a ton of MVA's.
I still don't feel the need to settle down just yet, but have thought more and more about buying a house in Michigan. Maybe that will be something for 2010.
