(no subject)
so these last few days of summer have been great, and today something happened that probably made today one of the best summer days of all!! but let me start with yesterday.
so yesterday i had to wake up early to go to carowinds and jenna came with me and it was really fun! but i was sooooo tired by last night. but even though we were tired, jenna and i love our horses so much that we went to check on them at about 10 last night :) then we got the bright idea to wake up at 5:15 today and go back out to the barn so we could go on a long ride while it was still cool. so that's what we did.
we wake up today, eat a small breakfast, and grab an apple for the horses. we were planning on riding down the main road into gibsonville or something, but we had barly even left when we figured out that my horse does NOT like cars driving by him going 50 mph. i was disappointed, but i can't really blame him. so we turned around and went back to the barn. at this point all the other horses are in their stalls eating (we let ours eat early) so we ride out in the pasture that they're normally in. for the longest time we had been talking about trying to get our horses to go into the pond in the mare pasture, even though i was pretty sure that my horse (cherokee) wouldn't go in there b/c he's really skeptical of new things. we took our saddles off and got on bareback just incase they did go in. jenna's horse sedona went in first up to his ankles and cherokee followed him in. after a few minutes cherokee got all the way in and was SWIMMING with me on him!! it was the coolest feeling everrrr! so even though i got totally soaked, it.was. awesome. :) and now we're going back out there with our bikini's on to do it all over again!!
ps. i also got to go to olive garden AND petsmart in g-boro today!
