It was really fascinating working with Horseboy on his Easter project. We're doing project based homeschooling and this is what he's been working on. We read the Gospel according to St. Matthew. All of it, from beginning to end. And he planned and hosted a dinner, complete with entertainment. It was really interesting reading the gospel with an intelligent thoughtful young person who came to it knowing more Greek myths and Shakespeare than Bible stories. I got a very fresh look at it, myself. And, I have to say, all my fears about my kids being ignorant because I've not been raising them with Bible stories and Sunday school, are swept away. It's a different education than I had, but at least as good, to just wait until you are interested, and then read a book of the Bible just like any other book.
